Independent Manchester label Heist or Hit have announced the N E W C U L T showcase on January 23rd, 2020 at Soup Kitchen.
N E W C U L T is going to be a point of convergence; a safe-space for genres and a home for talent. It’s a place for artists to perform and bands to form. Heist or Hit have long been a source of the best local musical, and now they want to show it off, to you, in the flesh, live – where music belongs.Â
It’s their intention to re-energise the gig scene in the Northern Quarter. With so many venue closures, Heist or Hit are bringing positivity back to a scene that’s plateaued in recent years, ready to reinvigorate it with a buffet of talent – including the wonderful Pizzagirl, who launched his own pizza slice last week.
The debut event will feature some hometown talent, Porij, alongside Ronald Raygun and Leisure Theory – three fantastic band names, if you ask me. All three have their own unique style, offering something new and exciting, and are bound to get you dancing and keep you warm on what will most likely be a fucking freezing evening at the end of January. Check out their website here and get a ticket, ya filthy animal.
