Names released for Mogwai’s first festival: Big City 2024

The full line-up for Big City 2024, Mogwai’s inaugural self-curated music festival, has been announced this week. On Saturday, 29 June, the band will be headlining the first edition of the one-day event in their hometown of Glasgow at Queen’s Park.

Slowdive, Nadine Shah and Goat Girl are among the names to be added to the lineup. 12 acts in total will perform across two stages throughout the day, alongside a literary tent in association with White Rabbit Books.

“It’s great for us to have this event in our hometown of Glasgow,” Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite commented. “It’s an honour to have so many brilliant artists join us for what promises to be a special day.” Their headline set will be their first performance in Scotland since a run of sold out shows in 2022.

For the festival, the band have collaborated with Scottish independent music promoter, Regular Music. Additionally, while keeping in the spirit of Mogwai’s DIY roots, the lineup includes labelmates, friends and peers of the band. Kathryn Joseph and bdrmm, both signed to Mogwai’s label Rock Action, established in 1996, are included on the bill.

The full line-up of acts includes:
