You’d be forgiven for feeling a bit claustrophobic at Bill’s headline set over the weekend. Not least because he was crooning his Scouse tunes to an absolutely packed Cluny, but because Jones plays like he’s already filling out arenas and has the stage presence to match. He was shockingly good, The-Smiths-cum-Joy-Division break from a hectic day of bands trying to make themselves heard. Top lad our Bill is. Top lad.
