Catfish were humbled by a small but respectable crowd as they
roared through hits from their debut album, dropping in the handful of
highlights from sophomore record, The Ride. It was an efficient set, not stopping to talk, letting the
music do the talking. Frontman Van McCann stuttered across the stage
constantly, wrestling with the microphone, losing the battle on many occasions
as it fell to the floor. It was a decent gig but it also highlighted several
flaws Catfish must fix before they are to reach the heights so many believe they’re
set to reach.
