Spring King were dreadful. They interacted with the crowd far
too much instead of playing their songs, with rather cringe-worthy banter – if you
can even call it banter. I was baffled at the whole spectacle if I’m honest.
The crowd was completely split between youngsters treating The Cluny like a play
area and head-nodders and pint sippers looking bemused at the back, it was a
strange hour or so. Their songs blurred into one, and one could easily have
been mistaken for the next. To give them credit, they played with youthful
exuberance and all-out energy however, it just lacked a lot of quality.
