Our Alt Eurovision representatives for Holland were up first on a cloudy, pretty miserably Bank Holiday Sunday at Newcastle’s Hit The North Festival. A packed Think Tank full of excited fans ready for the day ahead, determined to find their new favourite band in the earlier hours, cheered each song and nodded along to the loud, brash sounds. Pip Blom were decent. Good energy and all that, but Think Tank’s sound system, which has killed many bands before, and will continue to do so in the future, meant you could barely hear a fuckin’ thing. The energy was decent from the Dutch group, they’re a good live band, the sound just wasn’t doing them any favours unfortunately.
