There’s always one ain’t there? That artist you stumble upon whilst you’re waiting around. My pal was working at one of the venues so I went for a bev and a chat and saw a bunch of LA, classy Cali peeps in cowboy boots sound checking. We. Have. A. Country. Band. Like a young Kacey Musgraves, it was pure country-pop with a Bee Gees disco tinge to funk up the afternoon. The Dads in the room were lovin’ it, hell, everyone was. A confident performer, there was a strut to Pearl’s performance, whilst her backing band could play, boy could they play. It was a tight, complete performance from a group who you’d suspect are doing well back home, who you suspect will do alright over here too. Ata Girl.
