The Rodeo is delighted to announce the first edition of ‘The Rodeo Presents’, a live showcase that brings exciting new artists to Manchester. The event will take place at YES (The Basement) on Tuesday 5th May. Tickets are on sale now, available from DICE and SEE Tickets.
These showcases are designed to bring the most exciting new artists around to the UK’s music capital. Expect three diverse and dynamic sets as we bring South London’s Tiña and Norway’s SKIA to Manchester for the first time. Local favourite Darcie will open.
South London cowboys, Tiña – who are the latest act to come from Speedy Wunderground – headline the event. Tiña have been picked by many tastemakers as ‘ones to watch’ in 2020, and this will be their first-ever show in Manchester.
Support comes from Norwegian innovator SKIA, who has Scandipop on an IV drip, medicating the sound with sick beats, glacial synths, and melodic nutrients. With a future-bop vision, Annie Norbye reinterprets the acoustic foundation of songs like an electro architect to arrive. Put simply, she’s very good. This will be SKIA’s first show in Manchester also, having made her live debut in Liverpool just last Friday. Spoiler alert: she was absolutely magnificent.
Finally, local singer Darcie will open the event. Her brand of alt-pop takes inspiration from SOPHIE, Billie Eilish and others, but her charisma, confidence and carefree adds a unique quality to her energetic live set.
Tickets are on sale now, available here: DICE and SEE TICKETS.
