HTN: LUCIA

Finally, a nice fuckin’ pint in hand. None of that Becks or Carling or that, we’re in Brew Dog country now. If there’s one thing you know about The Rodeo, it’s that Brew Dog is king, so seeing a band in a Brew Dog was a pretty decent way to close out HTN. What we love about Brew Dog is the diversity and versatility of each bev. Each one is different, all the while they continue to taste absolutely fuckin’ incredible. Lucia aren’t too different from a Brew Dog bev. Versatile, diverse, different, packing a punch whilst remaining classy and diligent.

Each member has concocted a style that suits their individual personalities whilst complementing the rest of the band. A couple of half mullets are worn by the bassist and drummer, the latter of which looks a tad wired as he pummels away at his kit. On the left, the lead guitarist wears caramel flares with a black beret looking very very cool whilst their defiant lead singer, Lucia herself, is fierce. Her bleach blonde hair featuring a swipe of pink matching the fiery eye make-up reminiscent of Ziggy Stardust himself.

The performance is fiesty too. They’re a confident bunch, everyone performing their role to the highest standards. Lucia’s in the crowd eventually, not a difficult feat considering she literally needs to step forward to meet her adoring fans. Her versatile vocal is a dream, the ability to switch from a shouting-punk voice to a summery, indie-pop sound demonstrates the diversity of this band. They’re top top notch, just like a Brew Dog beer.
